Summary: In today’s story, God tells Gideon to do a whole list of things that don’t make sense to a human’s mindset. Over and over, Gideon is forced to trust God instead of his own understanding. It wasn’t easy for Gideon, and it’s never easy for us. When God speaks, we should obey. It doesn’t matter if what He says makes sense to us. We are to obey simply because we are His children and He is our Heavenly Father. If we will obey no matter what, we will find ourselves in the same spot that Gideon found himself: standing on the other side of the battle with our hands held high in victory! In this lesson, the children will learn how to obey God even when it doesn't make sense.
