Summary: Adam gave into temptation, just as Eve did. He knew better, but he did it anyway. As a result, he paid the price for it. He was separated from God, thrown out of the garden, and forced to work a life of blood, sweat, and tears. So often, we think that we can just “go ahead and sin” and it won’t matter. After all, it’s just one sin. Can it really be that big of a deal? The truth is, all it takes is ONE sin for us to have to pay the ultimate price of separation from God forever. It was true for Adam, and it is true for us. In this lesson, the children will learn about the HIGH price of giving into temptation. It’s a price that is NEVER worth it.
Power Verse: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
