I had the incredible opportunity to attend Passion Camp in Daytona Beach, Florida, with Encounter Church and its amazing students. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric. The ocean breeze, the sound of waves, and the joyful chatter of students set the stage for an unforgettable week.
Each day began with worship sessions led by Passion Worship. The worship leaders guided us into the presence of God with powerful songs and heartfelt praise. Passion Camp gave me hope as I watched thousands of students worship, pray, and experience the desire for change that only Jesus can bring. The Holy Spirit was raining down in the Ocean Center, creating an overwhelming feeling for those encountering Jesus for the first time and those rooted in their faith.
The teaching sessions were equally impactful, challenging us to live out our faith boldly and reminding us of our purpose and passion for God.
Our group had meaningful discussions after each session, allowing us to process, share, and pray for one another. These small group times revealed the depth of our students' faith and their genuine desire to grow closer to God. The leaders did an incredible job creating a safe and welcoming environment.
Passion Camp wasn't all serious; there was plenty of fun and fellowship too! Activities like beach football and time at the pool filled our days with laughter and joy. One of the highlights was Squad Wars, where 6,500 students and leaders were assigned to four different teams and competed for points in ninja warrior obstacle-style games. The energy and excitement during these competitions were contagious and fostered camaraderie among everyone.
For me, Passion Camp was a time of spiritual renewal and growth. Seeing the students' passion for Jesus reignited my own faith and reminded me of the importance of investing in the next generation. I left the camp with a renewed sense of purpose and gratitude.
Passion Camp in Daytona Beach was a transformative experience. It was a week filled with worship, teaching, fellowship, and fun, all centered around Jesus. I am immensely grateful to Encounter Church for making this trip possible and to the students for their openness and enthusiasm. The seeds planted during this week will continue to grow and bear fruit in the lives of our youth, reminding us that together, we can make a significant impact for the Kingdom of God.
