SUMMARY: Life is full of choices. Sometimes those choices are clear. In those moments, it is easy to see which is the right choice and which is the wrong choice. There are other times when a choice “feels” right, but it doesn’t line up with God’s word. In those moments, confusion sets in. It is very difficult to know what to do or not do. In this lesson, the children will learn from the story of David’s opportunity to kill King Saul. They will learn the things that directed David’s decisions when it “felt” like killing Saul would be beneficial. The children will learn that we should never base our decisions on feelings, but rather on God’s word!

POWER VERSE: “’My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,’ says the Lord. ‘And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.’” - Isaiah 55:8
